hey guys are you confused about all the different batteries and names that the Walt has to offer well they’re going to try to simplify it for us I’m a little confused looking into this but Jay here has a full understanding of what’s going on so Jay kick us off what do we got uh we have 20 volt Max we have Flex volt Advantage we have power detect and we have XR uh and we have brushless so let’s just trim oh and we have Atomic of course yeah so let’s go 20 volt Atomic and XR but what does that all mean what’s it mean so the new lineup is going down to just three clear categories for us we got the 20 volt Max and this is the basic is what I guess you would call it and this covers their standard line of powerful Reliable Tools you can count on for everyday use introducing the next generation of 20 volt Max XR for the pro who expects excellent and accepts nothing less the XR which is the high performance of the batteries these are the Heavy Hitters High Performance Tools with extended runtime to power through the most am jobs and keep you working harder for longer and then the last here is the atomic compact series which is obviously the compact of three it’s perfect for tight spaces and precision work these compact yet Mighty tools deliver high efficiency in a small package and looking at these power stack batteries here if I’m not mistaken these are fairly new yeah these are like a year old okay so it’s time for a change yeah just just flip those over okay so batteries too uh Power stack was launched but then you have all the different cells is it 21700 now there’s tabless so instead of renaming it every single time they come out with a new technology that’s a little bit better they are now going to have your 20 volt battery and you’re going to have your XR 20 volt battery so XR is just the new technology so right now it is pouched with the uh Power stack but they’re all going to be XR so we have a Powerhouse new battery the 20 volt Max XR power pack the 8 Amp Hour battery DC 2108 it’s built tough for contractors electricians plumbers you name it this battery packs Advanced lithium ion Tech to handle the toughest drilling sawing and impact driving jobs with ease and for those who can’t afford to slow down they’re offering it in a convenient two pack the DCB 28-2 so we used to have power detect and we used to have flexible Advantage technically the flex volt Advantage would perform better when you used the flex volt 60 volt batteries and the power detect would work better when you use like the 8 a hour like high performance XR batteries they’re very very similar they both work better when you use better stuff caused tons of confusions we right now in our warehouse have inventory of XR power detect and flex Vol advantage of different models that are very very very functionally the same next up we have the DeWalt 20 volt Max XR impact driver the DCF 860 this compact impact driver is essential for professionals needing power and precision ideal for electricians hbac technicians and contractors it excels in tight spaces with its high torque brushless motor perfect for tasks like installing electrical panels assembling hbac duct work and fastening materials then we have the DeWalt 20 volt Max XR brushless cordless half-in hammer drill that is DCd 10007 a Top Choice for construction workers plumbers and Masons this drill handles task effortlessly with its brushless motor strong runtime and durability ideal for tough materials like Concrete and brick this is where you’re going to have a better hammer drill now we can do a full video just on the hammer drill but it is going to have some of those better uh more advanced features where it’ll you know have auto shut off and just more power they’re going to have a basic version and an atomic version of a hammer drill so what are you really doing with your hammer drill are you you’re putting in you know drilling 38 into concrete or you like trying to mix concrete so you mentioned the drill a little bit now also two different options with this similar to the impact driver correct so yeah the the the new DCd 107 will will be the most powerful halfin hammer drill that dewalts basically ever made uh for 20 volt so honestly I’m more of a homeowner myself and I have a 12vt hammer drill yeah now is that in comparison to the atomic so that seems to be more the trend is just uh even service technicians and stuff you realize 90% of what I do is I’m better off with a smaller you know hammerdrill impact driver Atomic does a really good job of kind of like filling that need uh other brands use 12vt and they make it you know a premium 12vt and then they’re going after the same same thing can I fit in my tool belt can I throw several tools into a bag and get the job done and for the most part yeah and lastly we have the DeWalt 20 volt Max XR 2 and A4 horsepower dedicated plunge router the DCW 620 designed for woodworking Cabinetry and carpentry professionals it provides the freedom to tackle projects anywhere with precise depth control and intricate inlays dovetails and grooves it’s going to be two 2 and a/4 horsepower I’m really seeing that kind of like next level tools you you normally think of like needing a ton of ton of juice U now you can see that it’s fine in a 20 volt but it you know kind of say we have had XR so XR isn’t totally new you got this nice little example here had the XR line so they’re just kind of going in depth uh simplifying a lot of things okay so that’s just the top level of everything that’s coming for us we got uh we
