DeWalt finally surpassed Milwaukee in terms of quality when it comes to drills where we’re going to test this out tonight as we take the 17 and we put it up against the Milwaukee 2904 we are going to use a forge battery on the Milwaukee because it is the best battery we currently have thanks to theft and we’re also going to test out the 8 Amp Hour battery with the DeWalt also because of theft it’s the best battery that we have currently however we also plan on using the 5 amp hour power stack battery so that we can go lithium pouch cell to lithium pouch cell what we’re going to do now is we’re going to test the clutch to see how each drill drives using a T25 bit and these 3-in construction screws each will be given five attempts if it should drive one in a clutch setting we’ll test it for consistency so setting two it was still driving it in setting to not normal for a drill to do that so now we’re going to go up to number four little difference there not bad and yes I am letting it go because it’s still driving it as it go goes six very consistent go up to number eight there but it was not driving it any longer so I go to nine that’s a nine try 10 okay so the clutch on the Milwaukee is very very inconsistent and now the DeWalt 17 Speed 3 clutch setting to fully charged 5 amp hour power stack battery done we’ll go up to setting four almost drove it the whole way but finished go up to number six counter sunk it we’ll back it down to five five actually left it higher than four and five matched over here go to six again counter sunk counter sunk FLH more consistency with the D 17 but a much easier clutch to deal with and now each are going to drive identical 5/16 by 6 in construction fasteners all of our testing will be done in speed two except for the last test so speed two it is now in drill Mode still has a fully charged 6 amp hour for battery no trouble tremendous work and the 17 speed three drill Mode still a fully charged 5 aamp Hour Power stack battery because this has three speeds the higher the speed the lower the torque the lower the speed the higher the torque wow now we’re going to go up a bit with a 3/8 by 5 in and a 3/8 by 8 in spax screw Speed 2 drill Mode still fully charged 6 amp hour Forge battery easy it’s not quite down all the way but it is so close you can call it all the way and the DeWalt Speed 3 drill mode fully charged 5 amp power power stack battery no trouble counter sunk that 8 in wow and you wouldn’t know you were on my channel if we didn’t ask them to drive identical 10-in Timber loock screws Milwaukee up first Speed 2 drill mode fully charged 6 amp hour Forge battery easy work G3 drill mode fully charged power stack battery took it all the way down no trouble now why don’t we get really crazy with these 5/8 by 6 in lag screws points at the bottom mean screw boys and yes speed to drill mode fully charged 6 amp hour Forge battery no pilot holes well that’s all it is in speed two and the DeWalt Speed 3 drill mode you see it in speed three it outdrew it outd drove the Milwaukee in speed two and now for the test that we made famous here on YouTube the torque test for that we will be using a 5/8 by 12 in lag a torque meter in each drill will be on speed one in drill mode and they still have a fully charged battery we have our adapter set to peek 45.1 ftlb of torque and my finger is still on the trigger fortunately because the Fastener kept breaking the wood as we were trying to drive it in for the torque test we did have to change wood we have our torque meter set to peek it’s in speed one and it is in drill mode 45.6 and just for curiosity I did want to take test it out with the brand new 8 Amp Hour Power Pack battery this is the ultimate test for finding out how strong a drill is 53.8 wow the only drill that has ever gotten over 50 ft-lbs of torque on this channel the DeWalt 1007 in terms of simple performance the better clutch DeWalt more power DeWalt speed I thought they were even build quality I think they’re even this is much heavier than the Milwaukee and for the most part we had a better battery on the Milwaukee overall we’re all the winner I just wanted to say hats off to DeWalt they came in they just wanted it more than we did today I congratulate them a tip of hat I thought we had a game plan to really come out here and control the line of scrimmage and control uh the way the game was played but some of the things that were just out of our reach can’t take anything away from DeWalt they just want wanted it more today always nice to come out of here with a win you know when you’re playing Milwaukee you’re going to get the best game possible they make tremendous tools over there you know you’re always in for a dog fight and I think we just out lasted them there and our last drive we really just showed up with had a little bit more power we were able to take it to him but can’t take anything away from Milwaukee they’re a tough tough competitor uh we look forward to seeing them down the road but for right now we’re going to take the win thank you all for showing up
